• What is "Talking Dances"

With such passion for dancing and its place in our lives, Lou has created two events that are suitable for your village hall or community centre.

You can book Lou (here) or just to find out more. The the talks are creative, factual and bright and lively. They both include a chance for the audience to try out some of the dancing discussed!

    TALK 1.

    "THE STORY OF SOCIAL DANCING"

Broadly speaking, the term social dance describes any form of dance that is primarily intended for participation rather than performance, often in the context of socialising. This event will be a great opportunity to experience the history of social (ballroom and Latin) dancing in Britain, and to learn more about the different styles and how they developed over time.

    TALK 2.

    "THE HISTORY OF WESTERN DANCE"

Lou colourfully and cretively explores the timeline of western dance from ancient times to the present - including the development of ballet and various types of modern dance.
